Mattoon High School Senior and Student-athlete, Kaden Junge recently signed with Illinois Wesleyan University where he will continue his football career as a kicker/punter. Junge has played football at MHS for one year and has also been involved in soccer, baseball, and the National Honor Society.
Junge plans to study Environmental Science at Wesleyan. Junge is excited to start his college journey as he states, “It was a college I liked from the first time I visited campus. I felt like I could succeed on the field, while also getting a great education. I also felt like I had a good bond with all the coaches right from the start. Ultimately, Illinois Wesleyan University was a place I knew I could succeed in all aspects.”
Junge was supported during his college signing day not only by his family, but his teammates, and coaches. Junge appreciates the support and stated, “I am very grateful for my athletic career at Mattoon High School. My coaches and teammates have been nothing but amazing in helping me throughout the past 4 years in multiple different sports. I am thankful for the countless people who have helped me, as the decision to play collegiate football would not have been possible without them.”
