Please see the following statement regarding MCUSD2 Branding and Logos from District Communications and Mattoon High School Athletics.
As a district, we are utilizing a block ‘M’ logo, which has seen many variations over the years. By choosing to brand consistently across the district, we are attempting to establish a distinct identity, which is easily recognizable throughout our community and beyond. Along with creating a sense of pride, maintaining a consistent brand can also enhance recruitment and retention efforts in an already competitive environment and generate opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships, and community involvement initiatives that can benefit students and the larger school community. The crest water wave logo, along with all of our historical logos, to our knowledge, are not trademarked and can be used freely by the public.
Together, the Mattoon community and its schools take great pride not only in our history, but also our brand identity. Our logos and color schemes maintain consistency across all communication channels for our schools throughout the school district.
