The Mattoon Community Unit School District No. 2 has been made aware of, and is actively responding to, reports of criminal charges filed outside of Coles County involving a Mattoon High School employee.
There is no indication that the criminal charges are related to any student in our school. The District is cooperating with local law enforcement and will continue to do so throughout the ongoing investigation. In the interim, the employee has been placed on administrative leave.
