The Mattoon High School Drama Club will return audiences to the 1970s with their presentation of the musical “Disco Inferno” March 31 and April 1 at the MHS gymnasium. Both shows begin at 7 p.m. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for kids. “Disco Inferno,” is a book by Justin Sepple. In the promotional material for the play, “Three words that describe this stylized musical would be Faust with Flare. With its retro setting, “Disco Inferno” oozes nostalgia and inspires smiles to hustle their way into audience members’ faces. If you love the 1970s, then you’ll love this riotous trip back to the decade that brought us flared trousers, platform shoes and glitter.
