Franklin Preschool participated in Super Friends Training on Friday, August, 26th.
Students learned how to have watching eyes, listening ears, and a calm body throughout the school building. Franklin preschool will continue to utilize the Super Friend language throughout the school year.

MHS cheerleaders will lead a cheer practice on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at MHS in the North Gym from 5:30-7:00 pm. It is for kindergarteners - 5th graders.
The cheerleaders will teach several cheers to the campers. The campers will then perform at MHS Gaines field during the first half of the football game on Friday, September 16th. The game starts at 7:00pm. Campers will be dismissed to parents/guardian after the first half is complete. The cost of the camp is $25. Please bring your payment to the Thursday practice so your camper can receive their tee shirt and bow to wear for our performance. Please fill out one per student.

7th grade science classes at MMS practiced the 7 habits this past week by creating cup towers without using their hands! It was challenge, but the students enjoyed it and learned how to synergize

The Riddle Elementary Fannie May Fundraiser kicked off on Friday!
Please check your child's folder for flyers and details. Orders are due September 12th. Delivery will be late October. Funds will go towards the PTA goals for this year supporting Riddle students and teachers. Prizes are attached and include LED lights, Elevate field trip, a mini drone, blue-tooth speaker and cash.

Mr. Mann, the elementary band teacher, will be visiting 5th grade classes this week to pass out information to students about joining the 5th grade band.
Families are encouraged to review the information that goes home, and those that are interested in signing their student up for band will please plan on attending our official informational and sign-up meeting on Monday, August 29, in the Williams Elementary School Cafeteria, beginning promptly at 5:30pm.
Mr. Mann will then review important points from the information packet, The Music Shoppe will discuss renting instruments and the services they provide, and families can formally sign up for band!
If you are unable to attend the meeting or have any questions, please reach out to Mr. Mann at alekmann@mcusd2.com. The meeting will be recorded, so those unable to attend will still be able to watch.

Mrs. Grabiec's 3rd grade class at Williams Elementary has been reviewing Habit 3- Beginning with the End in Mind, as a part of the 1st 8 Day’s curriculum. The 3rd grade team shared this activity for the kids to work on.
In teams, students had to get their worm through the candy ring by only touching paper clips. The students had fun with it!
