Welcome to the Inaugural Coles County Girls Holiday Basketball Tournament. Mattoon and Charleston have joined forces to create a two site tournament. Teams are divided into four pools. Each team is guaranteed 4 games. Games will be played at Mattoon High School and Charleston High School. The tournament will be contested over two days (Thursday, December 28th and Friday, December 29th) with each team playing two games per day.
Admission:
Tickets are available to purchase at both sites during the tournament. Tickets will be good at BOTH locations.

In case of a tie in pool-play, the tie will be broken in the following order:
- Fewest points allowed among tied teams
- Team free throw percentage among tied teams
- Flip a coin among tied teams
One hour and thirty minutes is listed as the period between the starting times of the games. We will start the next game 15 minutes after the preceding game.
The team listed first on the schedule will be designated as the home team, will wear 'home' jerseys and be seated east of the scorer's bench. The second team listed will wear 'away' jerseys and be seated west of the scorer's bench. Mattoon and Charleston will always use the 'home' bench but will wear the appropriate color based on the schedule.

General Information:
Spectators who wish to video the games must do so from the bleachers. Standing on the floor to videotape will not be permitted. No one except the two teams playing will be allowed on the gym floor.
MHS and CHS are not liable for any loss of property to players or guests. Visiting schools will be responsible for securing their own valuables as locker rooms will be shared.
