2024-25 Winter Guard Audition Information:
Auditions will now be held on Tuesday, November 5 from noon to 3:00 p.m. in the MHS North Gym.
*Attendance is required to be considered for the team. *
Things students will need for auditions:
Clothes that are easy to move in (no jeans)
Tennis shoes
Water Bottle
Audition expectations:
During auditions, students will be taught basic flag skills such as, drop spins, carves, flourishes, cones, and a few basic tosses. Students will also be taught some basic dance skills that the team uses with their equipment choreography.
Skills will be put together to learn two dance combinations and one dance and flag combination to move across the floor. The final thing students will learn is one stationary flag routine. Students will perform these three across the floor combinations and one stationary routine as their audition.
Auditions will start promptly at the designated time. Students will want to arrive early enough to fill water bottles and prepare for the start of auditions.
Students need to be focused and listen while directions are being given.
Students need to be respectful and positive to themselves, students, and staff, both inside and outside of auditions.
Results will be delivered via letter to each student's wave time.can
