Mattoon Rotary recognizes one Senior male and female at their monthly luncheon as Students of the Month.
Students are nominated by MHS staff and the selection criteria include outstanding academic achievement and citizenship. The October Rotary Student of the Month winners were Chloe Dodd and Will Pullen.
Chloe Dodd is the daughter of Jason and Rebecca Dodd. She is a member of FFA, MHS Wavette Dance team, Lighthouse Leadership Committee, and Student Council. Chloe is also a Freshman BIONIC mentor.
She plans to study Agriculture Education at Southern Illinois University- Carbondale in the Fall and earn her Bachelor’s of Science degree.
Will Pullen is the son of Rachel McCoy and Brad Pullen. He is on the MHS Tennis and Golf teams. Will is also a member of NHS, BIONIC, Student Council, and is one of the student section leaders for Team Massive. In the Fall, Will would like to attend college and become a CTE or vocational studies teacher, potentially back at Mattoon High School.
