Mattoon Middle School Administrator Spotlight. "Having started my teaching and administrative career at MMS, I am excited to return and partner with the amazing faculty and staff to serve our incredible student leaders. Go Wildcats!" - Chad Arnold MMS Principal

 Meet the new MMS administrative team! 

Chad Arnold will serve as the MMS principal. Mr. Arnold is a three-time graduate of Eastern Illinois University and will be entering his 22nd year with Mattoon Schools! He has served as a teacher, assistant principal, and principal during his tenure with MCUSD#2. Mr. Arnold is familiar with MMS as he previously taught Science, Social Science, and ELA for 6 years and served as assistant principal for 9 years. Most recently, he served as principal at Riddle Elementary School. Mr. Arnold is excited to get back to his roots at Mattoon Middle School. He is passionate about empowering students to find their strengths and grow as leaders during their adolescent years.

Tera Stewart will serve as the MMS assistant principal. Mrs. Stewart came to the district in the fall of 2004. During her tenure for the Mattoon School District, she has taught 5th grade and Kindergarten at Riddle Elementary, been a Title I and instructional coach at Williams Elementary, and an academic instructional coach at Mattoon High School. Tera is very excited to work with the students, families, and staff of Mattoon Middle School.

Kurt Endebrock will serve as the MMS dean of students. Mr. Enderbrock has served as an assistant principal at the Middle School level for 10 years, as well as serving as assistant regional superintendent of schools for Franklin-WIlliamson County for 6 years. He is a Mattoon native and went to Lincoln Elementary, Mattoon Middle School, and Mattoon High School where he played football, basketball, and baseball. Mr. Enderbrock had the opportunity to play baseball at Southern Illinois University-Carbondale and professionally in the Oakland Athletics Organization in 1991 and 1992. He lives by the quotes "It's not what happens to you that determines your success, it is your reaction to what happens to you that determines your success" and "If you think the problem lies outside of yourself, that very thought is the problem."
