Mrs. Campbell's students at MMS learned about Greek City-states, Sparta and Athens.
- Sparta was a warlike city-state that prized courage and obedience above all else.
- Athens prized the mind and education.
Then they chose which one they wanted to "live in." For the next two weeks, they engaged in feats of knowledge and strength to earn points for their city-state. Right before Spring break, they did a strength challenge between the Spartans and Athenians. They showed their skills doing push-ups, sit-ups, and arm wrestling.
Spartans earned the most points and won our Peloponnesian War! Oddly enough, the Spartans won the ACTUAL Peloponnesian War too.
