MMS Baseball Tryout Announcement!
MMS Baseball tryouts will be Monday, August 2nd - Wednesday, August 4th.
The times for MMS Baseball tryouts will be the following:
We will be having tryouts in two groups instead of three. Sixth and seventh graders will trying out from 8am to 10am and Eighth graders will go from 10am to 12pm on Monday (8/2/21). On Tuesday (8/3/21) eighth graders will be trying out from 8am to 9:45am and sixth/seventh graders will be going 9:45 to 11:30am. The team scrimmage will be on Wednesday (8/4/21) from 4:30pm to 6:30pm.
In order to try out, student athletes must have a current physical on file with the MMS Athletic Secretary and be registered on the MMS 8to18 website (look for blue and gold; please be sure you are on the MMS site!). Plus, by registering in 8to18, you will get updates sent directly to you about any sports you register for! All athletic registrations are open now.

Coach Conlon just communicated that Boys and Girls Cross Country will be starting at MMS on Monday, August 9th from 8:30am to 9:45am. Student athletes need to be registered in 8to18 and have a current physical on file with the Athletic Secretary in order to try out. Please plan to meet Coach Conlon at Door 3, by the New Gym on Monday, August 9th!.
On Monday, August 9th, student athletes will also get a schedule of practices and meets, as well as other information.

MMS Wildcat Girls Softball Tryouts will be on Monday, August 2nd from 8:30 - 10:30 am at the Round House Complex.
You must be registered on the MMS 8to18 website and have a physical on file with the Athletic Secretary in order to try out.

Congratulations to the newest 8th grade members of NJHS!
The scheduled performance at Lytle on Saturday May 7th, has been postponed. We will be hosting the event at Lytle Band Shell on Saturday May 15th from 3:00-5:00. We encourage community members to bring lawn chairs and join us.

Due to inclement weather moving in and forecasted wind chills, the MMS seventh and eighth grade track meet scheduled for Wednesday, April 21 has been moved to Tuesday, April 27 at 4 p.m. at the MHS Track. Thank you for your flexibility!
Mattoon Middle School Track athletes traveled to Teutopolis for their first meet of the season on April 15.
