Riddle Elementary School will host two great events in one night on May 4, 2023! The family board game night will be held in the Cafetorium from 5:30-7:00 PM and the Scholastic Book Fair will take place in the Library from 5:00-7:30 PM.

The Birth to 3 Program held their monthly playgroup on April 19th. They listened to the story "A Very Hungry Caterpillar", made art using paint and flyswatters, did a butterfly gross motor dance, and took a walk in the Bye Bye Buggy before having a snack. Thank you to all those who attended. We can't wait for next month's playgroup!

The Coles County 4-H BBQ is coming up this Saturday (April 22nd) from 11 AM to 6 PM at the Coles County Fairgrounds. Tickets are $10. Purchase tickets from any local 4-H member or stop by the Coles County Extension Office or Coles County Farm Bureau Office.

Ms. McCoy's class at Williams Elementary has been working all year on a monthly podcast called, "Happy Habits". You can find it on Spotify. They highlight one habit per month and it features a new group of 5-6 students each time. ALL students have made an appearance on the podcast and are now circling back for round 2! The kids recently came up with the idea of wanting to share their podcast with the community.
For Leader In Me's Global Leadership Celebration Day, each student created 3 bookmarks, and on the back of these bookmarks, provided a QR code that will link readers in the community to their podcast. It also lists an email for readers to send a review or a request for a podcast episode. Students visited the Mattoon Public Library and chose 3 books to put the bookmarks into.
