Riddle Elementary School Library thanks everyone that shopped at our recent book fair! All earnings will go to support our Monarch, Bluestem, and Battle of the Books programs, as well as a future author visit. We also plan to buy some new popular and in-demand books kids are looking for. A big thank you goes to our PTA volunteers who helped run the book fair during the school days.

Each day in art class Mr. Niemerg picks two mystery students and if
those two students demonstrate Positive Leadership they are entered into
a school wide drawing. Each Quarter a winner is drawn. Evelin was then
asked what her favorite things were and that was the prize she received! Evelin loves Kit Kats, Garlic bread, and Blue Gatorade!

Mattoon Middle School is creating a Makerspace in the Media Center!
Makerspaces provide hands-on, creative ways to encourage students to design, experiment, build and invent as they engage in classroom curriculum.
This space is designed to accommodate a wide range of activities, tools, and materials including a laser-engraver, embroidery machine, and sublimation printer. We can't wait to see all of the amazing projects and creations designed in this space. The Makerspace will be maintained by the STEAM Club and Mass Media class.
We are asking for donations of consumable items for our Makerspace. Donations can be dropped off to the MMS main office anytime during the school year. We appreciate all of your support in creating this space for our students!
