*WIG's Wednesday*
Meet Bennett White! He just finished Kindergarten in Mrs. Buford's class at Riddle Elementary. Bennett's summer WIG (Wildly Important Goal) is to run 40 miles before school begins this fall. He plans to run a little each day alongside his brother, Holden. Bennett says that he enjoyed the Riddle Running Club and would like to continue exercising throughout the summer. We are so proud of Bennett's commitment to a healthy lifestyle.

3rd, 4th, and 5th-grade students from Miss Washburn's class at Riddle celebrated the end of the 5th quarter by presenting their 7 Habits group projects.
They completed the projects on their own throughout 5th quarter and presented their work to Mr. Arnold and Mrs. Hollingsworth. Students created presentations that taught others about the habits and gave advice for goal setting.
They also shared their own WIGs that they achieved during their time at summer school. Way to go!

*WIGs Wednesday*
Meet Kyren Yarbrough! Kyren just got done with kindergarten at Williams Elementary. When he entered school, he came in with a lot of solid reading and word skills, so he and his teacher (Mr. McDaniel) set a pretty high WIG for him in Reading. He not only reached that goal by spring, he moved several reading levels above his target!
He has already set a personal goal to move up at least 5 more reading levels in the fall. We are sure he's continuing reading this summer to help him reach his goals.
We are proud of you Kyren!

On June 15th the Birth-3 Program hosted their June family night pool party!
There were 97 Birth-3 family members in attendance (the biggest family event to date!) We offered pizza, admission to the pool, and door prizes.
Beginning with the end in mind, we encourage family to create lasting relationships with other families in the program. These connections creates a support network within our families.
Birth-3 is the place to be! This program is free for prenatal moms and families with children under the age of 3 who reside in the MCUSD #2 district. The program offers developmental, social social emotional, hearing and Vision screenings for children 3 and under.
