Congrats to our MMS students that placed at the IESA 4A Track State Finals in East Peoria on Friday!
Jackson Morgan (7th grade) placed 6th in the 7th grade Boys 4A High Jump at East Peoria. He jumped 5ft 3in.
Demri Sanders (8th grade) placed 7th in the 8th grade Girls 4A Hurdles at East Peoria. Her time was 17.59.
Mitchell Clapp (7th grade) threw a 121 ft 8in throw to place 2nd on Friday at the IESA 4A Track State Finals in East Peoria.

Franklin Preschool recently raised $600 dollars with our annual penny wars fundraiser! Money raised went to Camp New Hope to help with their summer programs. Students voted on what they wanted to raise money for and Camp New Hope was the winner.

Next Wednesday (May, 25), the Senior Class photo will be at 9:30 AM in front of MHS, Graduation practice will be at 10 AM, and the Seniors 'Last Hurrah' at will be at 11 AM.

Ava is a kindergartener in Mrs. Hunt's class at Williams. Ava has worked hard all year long and has achieved each of her WIGS. She and her teacher are most proud of her growth in Reading levels. She also has mastered the kindergarten sight words, which was one of her biggest goals. This summer she plans to continue Reading to keep sharpening her already awesome Reading skills. Way to go Ava!

Current 5th graders from Riddle Elementary were able to visit Mattoon Middle School recently to tour the school and spend time meeting staff members and asking questions! A big thank you to Mrs. Williams for organizing this opportunity for our students! MMS can't wait to see these kids everyday!

ultimate predator project. They created their own creature with
adaptations for the environment. We don't know about you, but we're staying away from the Long-Tailed Spiky Bear.
The final DIY in the MMS Media Center for this school year is Tissue Paper flowers!
