Car Seat Inspections by Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians will be taking place on September 18 from 4:00 -6:00 p.m. at the LIFT building. This event is part of Illinois Child Passenger Safety Week, September 17-23. Contact Katrina Farris at 217-238-8906 with any questions.

Save the Date for Elementary Orientation & the Franklin Preschool Open House! Elementary Orientation will be held for grades 1-5 on Tuesday, August 15th from 6:00-7:30 PM at Williams and Riddle. Kindergarten Orientation will be scheduled by appointment on August 15th & 16th. Parents and guardians will receive a letter in the mail including their appointment time and their child's teacher. At the orientation, students will meet their teacher, see their classroom, and get a preview of the year! Please call the main office with any questions. The Franklin Preschool Open House will be held on Thursday, August 17th, from 6:00-7:30 PM. Tour the school, meet the teachers, and take a ride on a school bus! Franklin Preschool's Fifth Quarter class took a field trip to the Douglas-Hart Nature Center over the summer. The kids had a blast and we were so thankful for the opportunity to visit!

During the 2022-2023 school year, Franklin Preschool held a Penny War to raise money for Douglas Hart Nature Center. Douglas Hart recently experienced some damage to their facilities due to a winter storm. Franklin Preschool staff and students raised over $900 to help Douglas Hart with repairs!
