Meet Miss MaKenna Tabor, she is the Floater Teacher at our Little Leaders Childcare Lab. MaKenna has one of the most important jobs here. She works in every room every day, giving breaks and taking such good care of each and every child in our program. She is definitely an asset to Little Leaders!
Big shout out to Chris from Mattoon! He just worked to receive his Fusion 360 Certification in the Manufacturing, Architecture, and Construction program! We are so proud of you!
Meet Miss Hannah Seay! She is the teacher of the 24-36 month room at Little Leaders Childcare. Miss Hannah brings so much love and energy to this room. She loves her students and it shows each and every day. We are so blessed to have her here at LIFT!

LIFT hosted a student-led "Activities day" on Friday, February 12. Students were able to play games and decorate Valentine-themed crafts.
Meet Ms. Jennifer! Jennifer Bolin is our 15-24-month-old teacher at Little Leaders Childcare. Jennifer is so full of life and love for these littles. She is one of the most animated teachers we've ever met and the kids love it! We are blessed to have her here. Just know, if your kids are with Ms. Jennifer, they are in good hands!
Meet Katie Williamson! Katie is the teacher in the 6-15-month-old room for the Little Leaders Daycare. She brings so much love and affection to these little ones. We are truly grateful to have her. 🥰😃
Congrats to Shaun from Cumberland (pictured in front of the "LIFT" wall) who recently received his Autodesk Certified User in AutoCAD certification.
Additionally, congratulations to Ty of Mattoon (pictured in front of the yellow and gray wall) who received his Autodesk Certified User in Revit certification! We are proud of them both. 👊
Heart melting moment! We just had to share this photo. Lori Collings is the teacher in the 0-6 month classroom in the Little Leaders Daycare at LIFT. These babies definitely get plenty of care and attention. Lori has worked for Mattoon CUSD #2 for over 17 years and is a dedicated employee.
A reminder that LIFT will be closed tomorrow in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Students on the M.A.C. floor recently received their Autodesk Certified User in Revit certification. Revit is a 3-D architectural drafting software. This certification is an industry-recognized credential that can effectively help start students' careers as designers, engineers, and makers.
This certification shows students have about 150 hours of real-world Autodesk software experience. Earning this level of certification while in school, will give students confidence as they continue to master Autodesk products and pursue professional-level certification in the future.

The Culinary Class recently held a "Chopped" competition before Winter Break. Students picked from a list of ingredients and then made delicious dishes! The LIFT staff and students got to judge.

Just a reminder, there will be a Teachers Institute on Monday, January 2nd for the facilitators to prepare for a new semester of classes. We can't wait to see familiar faces and meet some new ones in 2023

Great work from all Leadership students this semester!
Some of this semester's culinary students recently volunteered to help at the Coles County Council on Aging-LifeSpan Center Luncheon. They served food and drinks and even helped out with the cleanup afterward! They were happy to do something they were passionate about while serving others.
Congratulations to the first-year Childcare students who ALL received certifications in CPR, First Aid Training, Shaken Baby Syndrome, SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, and Mandated Reporting this semester. We are proud of all of you!
