Our primary concern is for the health and safety of our students and staff. Maintenance crews are on site and working to resolve the issue as soon as possible.

MMS Community Speaker Day took place on January 5, 2024. Students were able to hear from members of the community on the topic of perseverance, grit, and overcoming obstacles. The purpose of the day was to motivate, inspire, and encourage students in the new year. We appreciate the over 20 speakers who came to share their stories. 🙏🌟

In December, every Riddle fifth-grader had the opportunity in art class to create a porcelain clay bowl on the pottery wheel. Each student glazed their bowl and they were ready to take them home before Holiday break! 🥣

LAMBOS BP Gas Station in Mattoon recently donated the proceeds from its community pump, #2 to the Mattoon Elementary Youth Sports Program. The check that was donated was in the amount of $525. These funds will be used to help build the program by purchasing equipment and uniforms for athletes. ⛽
Using the pump, will continue to support our program. 🤝
MHS will be hosting a Financial Aid Presentation provided by Lake Lake College on January 16, 2024 at 5:00 PM. Students are encouraged to learn about FAFSA, scholarships, and grants. 📆
