Athletic Update: Due to adverse field conditions at Grimes, JV Baseball DH vs Mt Zion for Saturday, April 22 is cancelled. Varsity Baseball DH at Mattoon HS Baseball Field vs Mt Zion will be played at the regularly scheduled time of 11:00 a.m.

The Coles County 4-H BBQ is coming up this Saturday (April 22nd) from 11 AM to 6 PM at the Coles County Fairgrounds. Tickets are $10. Purchase tickets from any local 4-H member or stop by the Coles County Extension Office or Coles County Farm Bureau Office.

With the Boys Track Invitational being cancelled, Senior Night will be held on Sectional Date-5/17/23. Time is TBA. Girls Soccer at Charleston is POSTPONED. Varsity Baseball vs Sullivan at Grimes Field 4:30 is still on for today.

The EV Pathway at LIFT recently completed the construction of the electric vehicle donated by Pilson Auto Centers! WAND News recently stopped by to interview students and facilitators about the experience.

We hope everyone had a great Spring Break! We can't wait to welcome students back tomorrow (4/11).

Over 500 MHS students recently qualified for the positive incentive movie day! Movie options included "Creed III", "Champions", and "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania". Students that met the positive incentive of maintaining 80% or higher of their point total qualified for the movies. Points can be earned daily through attendance, no discipline referrals, and a weekly GPA of 3.5 or higher.
